Walk the Walk: Marc Jacobs F/W 2012 Collection

Marc Jacobs is brining us to a magical journey this season, or should I say, he is brining us to his own version of fairy tale?

Even though Marc Jacobs is a minimalist, this collection actually has some dramatic elements. First, the use of the "glitter" materials is creating noise, so are the paisley and floral prints. I can see the hour glass silhouette here as the hip area really stands out. The oversized hats and pilgrim shoes make the collection very cartoonish and this might be the reason why I feel like I am in Marc's fairy tale world. Overall, a very interesting collection and I am looking forward to see how the stylists will translate this collection in the up coming editorials.

Pros:
- I really like the fairy tale theme. The whole show reminds me of a little Wizard of the Oz and some Disney animations.
- The pilgrim shoes and the hats are the major highlights of this collection.
- The texture and the prints on the coats are beautiful.
- I really like the "shinny" pieces.
- The oversized knit scarves are great!

Cons:
- The bags are not too special.

Eye Candies:
- Pilgrim shoes
- The big "witch" hats
- Metallic pink dress
- White wool coat with embellishment
- Blue scarf blouse
