Walk the Walk: Mary Katrantzou S/S 2013 Collection

Mary Katranzou, the Queen of graphic prints, presented quite an interesting collection today at London Fashion Week. This time around, she got inspirations from stamps, bank notes and flowers. I continue to like the composition of the prints but I also notice that the prints were not as vibrate as the previous season. I felt like they were cleaner and simpler. As for the silhouettes, they were less dramatic, which made them more wearable than previous seasons.

Overall, it is just another great collection and I am sure fashion illustrators are already thinking how to illustrate these pieces with their own styles (Mary without a doubt is a treasure to fashion illustrators).

Pros:
- The stamp prints were amazing, so were the bank notes and flowers.
- The entire collection was more wearable than before which I have a good feeling this collection will do well in the department stores in the coming season.
- Many of the pieces in this collection were very airy.

Cons:
- The silhouette is not as dramatic as the F/W 2012 collection.

Eye Candies:
- The stamp print pants
- The abstract print pants suit
-  The bank notes dress
