Trendology: John Galliano Fall 2010 Menswear Collection

After a day of rest from the men's fashion world, I am going to write 3 posts about the funkiest runway shows during the fashion week in both Milan and Paris.

This season, Galliano has divided this collection into 3 themes: Sherlock Holmes, Edwardian dandy and Asian inspired fashion. Out of these 3 styles, I am totally in love with the Sherlock Holmes part because those clothes have made the models look very gentleman-like, but of course with a Galliano twist.

I have to say Galliano has made a good attempt to modify the Edwardian dandy style and make this line has a classic but edgy looking. The trench-coat has definitely caught my eyes. For the Asian style collection, I do believe they will look good for performers because of the dramatic effect these clothes can create. Overall, I do think this is a very interesting collection and I am sure a lot of clothes from this collection will be used for many editorial shoots.

Here are some of my favorites and you can click here to see the complete collection.
