Trendology: Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2010

John Galliano took the two extreme characteristics of women as the inspiration for the 2010 Pre-Fall collection: women-in-combat and ladies-who-lunch.  To express the former idea, he used military jacket, slick trench and helmet to express strong and WWII military style; as for the later idea, he used fur-trimmed skirt, and belted jacket to express the idea of smart and elegance.  As for the evening dress, it's all glamourous slip dress like the Hollywood film.

Personally I am not a fan of the slick trench coat, but I think the idea of putting two contrasting themes into one collection is brilliant. If you pay more attention, you would see the new gorgeous accessories and shoes on the Dior counter! I can't wait to see them!
