Trendology: Emma Watson for People Tree

In fashion magazines, we either see Emma Watson as the model for Burberry Ad Campaign, or seeing her love to Chanel or Proenza Schouler.  Lately, she had a her own fashion line, collaborated with the fair trade pioneer, People Tree, called Love From Emma.  This collection used 100% organic and fair-trade-certified cotton, and everything will be hand-stitched by fair-trade groups.  This collection will offer organic cotton jersey tees, sustainable knitwear, and recycle accessories.  Emma is very aware of humanitarian issues, her intention of this collection is to provide more choices for young people who wants to make a difference in the world.

As Emma told the press she has no intention to be a designer, but care about fair-trade and ethnical fashion. She strongly states that this is not a celebrity vanity project, I didn’t want this collection to be all about me,” Watson says. “This is not a celebrity endorsement, it is about creating something that is genuinely a great idea and about making a difference through fashion.”

The collection wil hit the store in February, 2010.
