Trendology: Pedro Lourenço Fall/Winter 2010 Collecion

What were you doing at the age of 19? We were probably still struggling in school but for Pedro Lourenço, this is his first time to showcase his collection during Paris Fashion Week.

When I first look at this collection, I think it is very trendy (military + futuristic style can never go wrong) and you can see geometric shapes are his main focus for this collection. The first outlook is probably my favorite because the black on nude dress makes me feel like I am seeing her skeleton body and this is all about illusion. I also like the triangular shapes around the skirt which makes the clothes to be very "flowy" when walking on the runway. The use of latex/chiffon has created a major illusion which let you keep questioning yourself, how can that black stripe right in the center of the body?

At the age of 19, I think Pedro is displaying a powerful 1st collection. I just cannot wait to see what he has in store for us in the future! For the full collection, please click here.
