Trendology: Elie Saab Haute Couture Fall 2010

This is what I consider as the classic Haute Couture Collection.

Elie Saab is one of the fashion designers to showcase his collection on the last day of Haute Couture Week (not counting the jewelry). As style.com has pointed out, this collection is inspired by the La Fenice Opera house in Venice and the red gowns are Saab's fashion interpretation of the velvet curtains of the Opera House. I love this collection a lot because many of the Haute Couture elements such as drapes, bat wings, layers and broad shoulders. Of course, if you like simplicity and just want to focus on the structure of the dress, this collection also has some pieces that will suit your taste. To me, this collection is all about timeless glamor and I expect to see some pieces to appear on the red carpet soon.
