Trendology: Iris Van Herpen S/S 2011 Collection

Iris Van Herpen is probably one of the fashion designers I am most anticipated to see during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week.

The inspiration from this S/S collection has to be the sea as you can see water splash decorations are hung at the back of the models. Iris signature weaving design skill has made the collection very fairy tale like and I like this approach. When look at her amazing pieces, some of them do remind me of the shell you pick up on beaches. Even though I don't think the pieces are wearable on the street, I can see them appearing on some amazing editorials (probably will deal with water too). This is truly an inspiring and well executed collection.
