Trendology: Yves Saint Laurent Spring RTW 2011

Timeless fashion can only produced by a few designers, Stefano Pilati is one of them.  Revisiting the classic from Yves Saint Laurent, adding a little of his own elements to make it modern and timeless.  Trench coat, bow blouse, ruffle dress and jumpsuit are classic pieces in fashion, then Pilati added simple colours, prints and cuts to make them his own.  High waist pencil skirt and bright orange blouse with billowing sleeves is the signature outfit in this collection, very vibrant and modern.  As Pilati said in backstage that fashion is a way for women to identify themselves; women, indeed, seeking a way to be modern and stylish, yet they need timeless pieces at the same time, finding themselves when they found the right piece of clothing.
