[Un]Discovers: Tze Goh

Since the 2010 London Fashion Week last Fall, we have discovered the amazing fashion designer, Tze Goh, another talented graduate from Central Saint Martins.  Originated from Singapore, making his way through a few big cities, New York and Paris, until now he is setting his base in London.  Today we have the honour to have him featuring in our blog, allowing us to learn more about him, and his works.

1. Knowing that you have stayed in other cities that have a lot of fashion inspiration, such as Paris and New York, what advantages do you think London has for the fashion industry compared to other cities?

London, known for fostering young talent, has presented many opportunities for me including the Central Saint Martins MA Graduate Fashion show and exhibitions at this year’s London Fashion Week in February.

2. Who inspires you the most in your fashion career?

Jil Sander, for its minimalistic design aesthetic and modern architect Zaha Hadid.

3. What does it mean to you to have your own website launched? How are you going to step it further in the future?

Having my own website will give buyers, press and customers the ability to interact with my collection in a new way. The site is designed to be easily accessible, allowing high-resolution images to be pulled directly from the site for use in editorials and features. I want the site to act as a launching pad for my collections each season, along with its campaign images.

4. What is the most difficult thing that you have encountered so far? And how did you get through it?

The MA course at Central Saint Martins was a big challenge as it was the foundation of my designs and each collection since has been a further development of the aesthetic and design.

5. What is the next step in your career?

Developing new ideas for my brand and creating a profitable business here in London.

As we have shared some of Tze Goh's news in our previous posts, he just launched his own website at www.tzegoh.com and having his label will be available in online store LN-CC
