Walk the Walk: Christian Dior S/S 2011 Haute Couture Collection

Theatrical is always the word I can come up with when I see Christian Dior Haute Couture collection, but this time, romantic is also another word I can use to describe the pieces in this season. The reference of this collection is coming from the fashion illustrations of René Gruau. The colors here are very refreshing and they do give you a summer breeze feeling. Of course, drapes always exist in Christian Dior's Haute Couture collection and this season is no exception.

A nice collection from John Galliano for Christian Dior.

Pros:
- I really enjoy the color red on the runway.
- Pieces are theatrical as usual, but now there is also a romantic touch.
- I like the flower details on the gowns.
- The drapes and the tulle layering on some gowns are  amazing.
- Gradient palette is great.

Cons:
- The whole collection is not as coherent as last flower season.
- Some gowns look very cumbersome.
- The make up is not really working for me in here.

Eye Candies:
- Gradient brown to red drape suit
- Gradient brown to orange big should top
- Gradient blue to sand brown tulle layering gown
- Midnight blue to navy blue feather gown
