Walk the Walk: D&G F/W 2011 Collection

Want to know the definition of pop art in Dolce and Gabbana's mind? If so, then this D&G collection will be your answer. The collection is full of vibrant colors and instead of using words from other brands, the duo decides to alphabets and transform them into this season's pattern. All the pieces are very wearable and I am very excited to see the return of the sneaker heels. If you are planning to wear something playful for this coming season, this will be the collection for you.

Pros:
- It is a very colorful, fun and pop art-ish collection. Every piece is very playful.
- I am loving the in you face words pattern. The duo has done it in a very fun and bold way.
- Love the use of chiffon in this collection which makes some of the pieces look very light.
- I cannot believe the Sneaker high heels are back after 9 years of absence.
- The alphabets necklace will be a hit this coming season.
- The last scene when all models are dressed in t-shirts with fleece (coated in feathers) miniskirts are fun to watch. This just reminds me of Big Bird.

Cons:
- Somehow the pattern reminds me of a lot of Missoni pieces, just that they are not made of knit.

Eye Candies:
- The alphabet necklace
- The fleece miniskirt
