Trendology: NADA F/W 2011 Collection

About a week ago, I had the honor to see NADA F/W 2011 Collection and I was in love with it.

This collection has a very strong 70s party vibe and it is all about layering with texture, leather, furs and custom-design prints. At first glance, you may find the pieces to be very simple in design, however, if you look at it again, you will see the amazing details on the garments such as the detachable collar and sleeves. Also, there is a strong influence of the men's style suiting but with Nada's design, those pieces become very feminine and easy to wear for the ladies.

While a lot of designers use black as the majority for the F/W collection, Nada uses mauve, olive, creamy winter white, chocolate brown and a burst of orange as the collection's main color palette. The custom prints for this collection are what I like the most as they are very refreshing and chic (they are printed on chiffon and jersey, which the result is amazing!).

Nada's quote is the best way to sum up this amazing collection. " Our label is for the type of woman who takes care to put herself together and wants a little interest in her styling so we’ve paired textured and patterned fabrics with voluminous skirts, emphasized natural waist-lines and dreamy, flowing sleeves to capture the innate femininity and sensuality of strong women. It’s a versatile collection that can be accessorized, belted and customized for the woman wearing it.”

Now I am looking forward to see what Nada has in store for the Canadian market next season! Bravo!
