1. First and foremost, I learned that you are a fashion designer and Magni is a hairstylist. How did you two get together in the first place and with what motivation to start this awesome business together?
Oh infact then we are a couple. We met each other on a blind date, Hugrún moved in the day after and we have been couple and working friends since then, we opened our shoe store Kron 3 months later (2000), 4 years after that we opened our clothing store Kronkron and 4 years later we launched Kron by Kronkron which today includes shoes, clothing and hoisery . So we have to say that things happen quiet naturally for us. It´s all ment to be.
2. With two special talent, fashion design and hairstyling, why shoes and hosiery?
we have both been a big shoe lovers for a long long time so shoes was a correct 1 step, and then when you have beautiful shoes on then is so correct to have nice socks and tights so that was step 2. and then when you have shoes and hosiery then ofcourse is it nice to have dress as well to so that was our 3rd step.
3. What are your all time inspiration behind these fabulous designs?
With all our design we try to think timeless, it important for us that each piece can stand by it self, and as you see in all our work then are we all about details and colors, playing with textures, good handcraft and good quality is a must for us.
4. Will you guys do any collaboration with other artists? Or which artist would you like to collaborate with if you haven't done so?
Yes we think that quite exciting some times to do collaborations. Artists which are even working in different fields then we but still we can walk the line sometimes together. We did do collaboration with the French Fashion House Rue du Mail in aw10 where we did the shoes for them. That was a great pleasure, especially as Hugrún had always been admiring Martine Sitbon work. Then these days we are very exciting about project we are doing for a French Company which is for ss12. We can´t tell more yet.
5. I am really adoring your shoes. Can you tell me what project are you working on/coming up next?
These days are we wrapping up our ss12 Kron by Kronkron collection which includes shoes, tights and woman clothing. As well are we very excited about this mysterious project which we are doing with this French company for ss12.
