Walk the Walk: Louis Vuitton 2012 Cruise Collection

This is probably one of the best resort collection I have seen so far for the 2012 collection...

This collection is actually a collaboration between Julie, Louis Vuitton studio design director, and the talented Sofia Coppola. It is inspired by Sofia's mother's vintage dresses from the 60's and 70's and this is why there is a strong retro vibe in the collection. What I really like about this collection is the use of prints (especially the city prints) which you will not see it often on Louis Vuitton's garments. The silhouette is very feminine and structured and I can imagine ladies wearing this collection and walk on the street in Paris. Overall, I think Sofia has injected freshness to this fashion house and I hope she will work with Julie for another collection in the future. Bravo!

Pros:
- The color palette is very refreshing.
- I love the city prints a lot and this is an element you don't see often in a Louis Vuitton collection.
- The structured silhouette is great, and the retro vibe has spiced up the collection.
- The wedges and the sunglasses are great!

Cons:
- Not a big fan of the last look of this collection.

Eye Candies:
- Black pattern dress with leather at the shoulder area.
- City print oversized blouse
- The red wedges
- Black/red patten jacket with studs
