Walk the Walk: Givenchy S/S 2012 Menswear Collection

Gone with the animal prints, in with the floral prints!

For this season, Riccardo uses only 1 flora print to complete the entire collection and I think this is a very ambitious move. Thankfully, the entirely collection is very enjoyable to look at. Other than the prints, the color scheme for this collection is olive green, melon green, cream and white (yes, no black at all). There is a very strong sportswear meets urban streetwear vibe and this time the focus point is on the cutting of the tops. There are definitely some interesting pieces and someone will have to help me to get ahold of the floral print t-shirt.

Pros:
- one floral print leads the whole collection, a little bit ambitious but it works well.
- The limit on colors makes this collection to be very solid. Finally, the dark age of Givenchy is over (palette-wise).
- Sequin and crystals are used on the garments, which make the clothing more luxurious.
- The innovative design on the tops is very interesting.
- The cutting on the suits are great.

Cons:
- Not a fan of the sandals and skirts.

Eye Candies:
- Military green suit
- Green flora print t-shirt
- White stomach cropped sweater
- Floral print pants
