Trendology: Eero’s Unique Jewelry

As you know, I am a huge fan of Chao & Eero Jewel and today, I am happy to announce Eero is having a new jewelry line!

This silver armour was originally made for a joint exhibition (Väki Vahva / All Mighty ) with costume designer Tanja Rovio in 2004. Afterwards, Eero continued to work on this series afterwards and this year, he has reunited with model Janika Neiminen (who did the campaign for this collection back in 2004) to create this promotion campaign. The photos are shot by Paula Ojansuu.

Here is what Eero has to say about this collection:

"The purpose of these pieces was not to shock, but to seduce the audience. They are like high heels; they look nice, make you feel strong and sexy, but might hurt you a bit if you wear them too long."

"These jewelry pieces are meant to be worn in fashion shoots or music videos, and work the best in a well-planned environment. They are made for people who appreciate visuality and need to have something more than what the jewelry field can normally offers."

"The somehow aggressive shapes with organic and primal touch in the jewelry came from my childhood in the Finnish counrtryside. They are not reproductions of anything existing, but imaginative mixtures of nature, history, fashion and those things that are cool. These pieces are a link to our roots when everything was more simple, and life was about survival."

I am so happy to see this collection is finally out (as I have heard from Chao sometime ago before) and I think it will be great to see these pieces in some music videos in the future. For more information about this collection, please click here
