Trendology: Anselm Reyle For Dior Collection

Miami is going to be a hot spot for this coming weekend (starting Thursday technically) as the annual Art Basel Miami festival will be held between December 1 and December 4 . For this special occasion, Christian Dior has collaborated with Berlin based artist Anselm Reyle to create a capsule collection. It consists of accessories and makeup products.

I really enjoy how Reyle has injected such vibrant colours to the iconic bags to make them look refreshing. To me, I think this collection is very modern, uplifting and unique. If you are in Miami, I would recommend you to drop by Christian Dior store to get some of the products before they are all sold out. May there be another collaboration like this in the future for the fashion house!

This is how the fashion house describes the collaboration:
"The legendary Cannage on the Lady Dior and Miss Dior Handbags takes on bold, freestyle interpretations. Twisted, tiled and reinterpreted in a range of colours, each bolder than the next, the top stitching contrasting against bright metallic leathers, it becomes urban, chic, and ultra-modern. Fluorescent camouflage shines vividly on handbags, clutches, shoes and scarves. On some models, the artist wanted to superimpose tilted Cannage on the camouflage motif, creating a sense of movement and a burst of colour. As for the characteristic of Lady Dior charms, they are accompanied by coloured triangles, the Berlin artist's graphic signature"
P.S. If you cannot go to Miami this to attend the festival, this collection will be sold as selective Christan Dior stores in spring 2012. I guess you should keep an eye on your local Christian Dior flagship stores.
