Walk the Walk: Alexis Mabille F/W 2012 Menswear Collection

Lace is very soft and feminine fabric and other than Givenchy, I always have doubt if it will work well in menswear. Well Alexis Mabille proves this material is great for his collection.

This collection has a strong influence from the Victorian era and a hint of military. I really like the quilt on many of the pieces and the leather strap around the ankle area is making this collection modern and fun. As I said before, I am very surprised to see lace applies on some of the pieces. This material does not make the clothing softer, but it gives an artistic edge to them. If there is one store carries Alexis Mabille's brand in Toronto, expect me to show up and purchase something form this collection.

Pros:
- Lace is a very feminine material and I am pleasantly surprised by Alexis' approach by applying it on some of the pieces. This material gives the artistic kick to the collection.
- Really like the quilt element in this collection, and also the leather straps around the ankle area. Nice touch!
- The collection generally has a very strong Victorian era feeling and also a hint of military inspiration.

Cons:
- The pleat shirt does not really work for me.

Eye Candies:
- Quilt pattern pants
- Red military vest
- White dress shirt with lace collar
- Red floral print dress pants
- Black tuxedo
