Walk the Walk: Christian Dior F/W 2012 Collection

For this season, Bill Gaytten wants to show you the glamourous side of Dior ladies by sending all models in the Dior classic silhouette. Peplum has been a major element this season for many brands this time around and Gaytten is one of them to apply it on the clothes to exaggerate the waist area. As for the prints, there are the new houndstooth print and the abstract print. I also really like the wide stripe design which makes the clothes interesting. The last part of the show really showcases some good evening gowns and my eyes are attracted to the pink/red piece. This collection has truly shown the best of minimalism in fashion and I am happy to say, Gaytten has finally done Dior in justice.

After seeing this collection, I bet everyone's number one question will be: Is Raf Simons going to take over this fashion house by storm? Only time will tell (which I certainly hope so).

Pros:
- The colour palette is very timeless and makes the entire collection to be classic and elegant.
- The exaggerated jewellery pieces are very eye catchy. I love them.
- The peplum design is great, it helps to give a punch to the clothes.
- I am in love with the evening gowns. They are very airy and classy.
- The houndstooth and abstract prints are beautiful, which make the clothes to look very interesting.

Cons:
- I think if Gaytten can use more of either the houndstooth print or abstract print, the collection will be more solid.

Eye Candies:
- Pink/red gown
- Houndstooth print blouse
- Abstract print long coat
- Black peplum gown with black glitters around the shoulder and neck area
