Walk the Walk: Jean Paul Gaultier F/W 2012 Haute Couture Collection

Gaultier is bringing the audience to the glamorous era of 1920s in Paris. There are ladies dressing in exaggerated, but fun gowns and dresses. There are also women disguise as men to show their masculinity. Gaultier has also injected a modern flavour to this collection by creating the metal cage corset skirt and the kimono style tops. I have to say there is also a little art deco flavour as you can see some of the pieces have interesting geometric prints. Finally, how can we all not like the final white bridal gown? It's so modern, elegant and edgy. If any bride is planning to wear a cool wedding gown, this should be your number 1 choice.

What do you think of this collection?

Pros:
- Looking at this collection reminds me of the glamourous days of Paris. The people dressed in exaggerated manner.
- I love how Gaultier designs those masculine blazers for the ladies. They look fierce and edgy.
- I am pretty sure part of this collection is inspired by the art deco period. This element can be shown by some of the prints on the clothes.
- I like the gloves, they look fun to wear.
- The menswear series is pretty solid and I can see a lot of men wearing some of the pieces.
- The bridal gown is beautiful. It is not your traditional gown, it has a funky Gaultier vibe on it.

Cons:
- I think the Gauultier Paris logo is a little bit unnecessary on some of the pieces. I think this is only a fun factor for the runway show.

Eye Candies:
- The female suit
- The man suit with corset
- The gold cage vest
- The gloves
- The 3-D corset skirt
- The bridal gown
