Since F/W 2011 season, I already have my eyes on Altuzarra and his amazing tailored coats. This element has become the stable of the brand and for this season, he has turned the jackets into capes. The jackets here are very functional and modern. At the same time, this season is also the first time Joseph introduces the brand's logo. I personally think it is a very nice touch and it works very well with the sporty pieces.
As for the evening wear, the gold chain fringes are what really stuck in my mind. Those pieces are very artistic in a sense and the Swarovski crystals have created a nice touch on them. I like the shapes of the evening dresses and of course, how can you not like the Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra sandals?
Once again, Joseph has aced this collection and I am very excited to see what he has in mind for the next collection.
Pros:
- I love the construction of the jacket. It's very modern and functional.
- The Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra sandals will be a big hit next season.
- I like the gold fringe touch on the evening pieces. It adds the elegant vibe.
- It's a very well balanced collection. It consists of some very wearable pieces and some great editorial/artistic pieces.
Cons:
- I would love to see an Altuzarra lady carrying an Altuzarra bag, perhaps next season?
Eye Candies:
- The jacket cape
- The sandals
- Stripe jacket with peplum design
- The evening wrap dress with gold fringes
- The Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra sandals
