I have been following the Gordon sisters since their debut season and their skills have been evolving throughout the collections. If I need to use a word to describe this collection, it will be pure.
It seems like the sisters have really stripped away all the dark elements of this brand (pins, studs, buckles) and this time around, they are more emphasize on the silhouette. For that, I have to say the fitting is much better than before. The hardwares on the pieces are still a trademark of the brand but they have been really toned down to make the clothes more wearable. Also, the floral print is not overplayed here. Instead, it is just here to enhance the collection. Based on these observations, I find the sisters have evolved to the next stage where their skills become more mature and they know what kind of things work for the brand.
I was very impressed with the show and now I am even more looking forward to their F/W 2013 show. Bravo!
P.S. Is it possible someone can send me a copy of CCP debut collection look book? I really want to keep a copy. I love it!
Pros:
- I really like the micro floral print. It injects a new energy to some of the classic Chloé comme Parris silhouette.
- The jewellery pieces have really enhanced the clothing to make them edgy and cool.
- The sisters take inspiration from Venice Beach and this is why the entire collection feels very breezy and light.
- This collection is very commercial, but without losing the unique touch of the Gordon sisters. There is definitely something for every girl, in every age range.
Cons:
- I miss the bags. Really, I really miss the bags. When will they come back?
