Walk the Walk: UNTTLD S/S 2013 Collection

One of my favourite shows in this season's Toronto Fashion Week was UNTTLD. It was beautiful, dark and inspiring.

This collection was inspired by the Japanese kimono and José Manuel St -Jacques and Simon Bélanger gave this traditional piece a modern twist. The collection was very well edited and there was a well balance of dramatic and wearable pieces. The metallic brass pieces were one of the highlights and they injected energy to the collection.

UNTTLD has really surprised me this season and I am hoping to see more wonderful collections from the duo in the future. Thanks Mercedes Benz StartUp program for introducing this brand to me.

Pros:
- The collection is very cohesive and well edited.
- Well executed on the interpretation of Japanese Kimono. I really like the modern twist of it.
- The clothes are very well constructed to make the UNTTLD girls look edgy.
- The music has helped to get the audience into a dark mood, which equals to the vibe of this collection.
- The metallic pieces are on point and this metallic fabric is a major trend in S/S 2013.
- The nails are amazing and they need to be a part of the trend next season.

Cons:
- I actually don't really understand what is going on in the short film before the runway show. Can someone explain the concept to me?

Eye Candies:
- Black kimono inpsired floor length coat
- Metallic dress
- White kimono inspired white suit
- Green sleeveless top with black leather detail
