Fashion[Knowledge]: Fashion Designers A-Z, Designer Editions

I am always looking for a nice fashion bible for my books collection and today, I think I have found it and it is from Taschen!

Fashion Designers A-Z is a book every fashion lover should own. From Azzedine Alaïa to Vivienne Westwood, it contains 500 images of garments from the permanent collection of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Not only will you be able to see beautiful photos in this book, but also you can learn more information about the designers and the museum history from Valerie Steele, the director and chief curator of the museum, and Suzy Menkes.

To celebrate the release of this book, 6 brands are invited to create limited edition covers (11,000 copies in total) with their signature prints. The participated brands are Akris, Etro, Diane von Furstenberg, Missoni, Prada and Stella McCartney.

Since I am a big fan of Prada, my favourite cover has to be the purple "diamonds" version, which the print is from the F/W 2012 collection. The price of this book is $350 and you can purchase it at Taschen online.
