Walk the Walk: Louis Vuitton F/W 2013 Menswear Collection

Last season, Kim Jones brought us to scuba diving and I am sure we are still dying to get a piece of those colourful bags. For the winter season, he is brining us to the Magic Mountains of the Himalayas, and invites us to visit the Kingdom of Bhutan.

There is one reason I always fall in love with Louis Vuitton: the brand's involvement in the arts scene. This coming season, Kim Jones is collaborating with Jake and Dinos Chapman to produce some amazing print pieces. I am in love with the Chapman version of French baroque floral print (aka “Garden in Hell”)  blazers and bag. For people who are not that crazy on prints, Jones also has some good essential pieces in leathers and furs. I really like the sunglasses and the snow leopard print jackets. I would love to mention that the backpacks and the bags are something we al should invest in the coming season, they are just beautifully crafted!

Once again, Jones has nailed the collection and I do have a high expectation for his coming S/S 2014 menswear show! Good luck!

Pros:
- It's so brilliant to get Jake and Dinoa Chapman to be involved in this collection. The print is simply irresistible.
- Kim Jones has once again covered all ranges of menswear and there is definitely something for everyone.
- I love how he uses the hiking clip to act as the belt buckle. Smart idea!
- The bags and sunglasses are amazing! Definitely something you will see in editorials during the F/W season.
- I really like the fact that the logos on the bags are very subtle (just a shaved “V” in the shearling pieces).

Cons:
- The shoes are not as strong as the F/W 2012 season, maybe just because I still miss the metallic dress shoes.

Eye Candies:
- The fur bag
- The oversized Lockit bag
- The sunglasses
- The Chapman Brothers print blazer
- The Chapman Brothers print bag
