Walk the Walk: Gucci S/S 2014 Menswear Collection

Frida Giannini is bringing the Gucci menswear collection to a new direction next season and I like it!

For this S/S 2014 season, floral print is a major trend for the fashion house. A lot of people may think this adds a feminine touch to the clothing, but instead it gives off a masculine and elegant vibe. The collection is generally more sporty than the previous collections and those skinny pants will probably make a new trend in the men's fashion world. As for the accessories, I am in love with the shoes and also the shape of the backpack is quite refreshing.

If Gucci is planning to attract the more sporty crowd as its new demographic, I think this collection is a good start and we will see how this new direction will play out in the near future.

Pros:
- I love the floral prints in this collection. They add an extra flare to the pieces, and make them look classy.
- The use of new material is interesting, and also the silhouette is very experimental this season.
- It might be hard for some people to pull off the new pants design, but I like the new direction.
- Unlike the previous collections, this one has very strong sport vibe.

Cons:
- Wish there were a floral print briefcase or bag

Eye Candies:
- Dress shoes
- Floral blazers
- Floral knit sweater
- Navy slim blue suit
- Nude leather coat
