Walk the Walk: Marc Jacobs S/S 2014 Collection

Marc Jacobs presented a very interesting collection on the last day of New York Fashion Week.

This collection is all about dark colour pieces and the designer takes references from the Victorian era. Floral print is a major element here and I also like the decorative tassels as they add a fun vibe to many of the pieces. The oversized silhouette on some of the pieces actually works for me because it adds a boyish attitude to the Marc Jacobs lady.

So after looking at this runway show, I have 2 questions in mind: 1) Will the Louis Vuitton collection be as dark as this one? 2) Based on this collection, are we actually living in a beautiful fashion nightmare?

Pros:
- I love the use of different floral prints in this collection.
- The use of tassels is very interesting in this collection.
- The sheer sleeves make many of the outfits sexy.
- I like the oversized silhouette because it adds a bohemian vibe to the collection
- The dark colour palette is very interesting, as it is not something we expected from a S/S collection. Maybe doomsday is around the corner?

Cons:
- Not a huge fan of the sandals.

Eye Candies:
- Floral evening gowns
- Napoleon style outwear jacket
- Shorts with floral print side panels
- Sequin dress with sheer sleeves
