Animal print is one of the major elements in this collection and it adds a wild vibe to many of the pieces. Throughout the runway show, there are a lot of fringe skirts and I think they are very playful. I am also impressed by how the sisters create the skirts with duo panels as some of the designs consist both the elegant and rock vibe.
After looking at this collection, I think the Rodarte girl has evolved to become a more cutting edge character. Do you agree?
Pros:
- It's the Mulleavy sisters' version of rock and roll and I like how they apply the animal prints on the collection.
- The fringe has become a signature of this collection and instead of glamorous, it adds a wild vibe to the collection.
- The Scorpion pieces are very interesting and I have a good feeling they will be the highlights of the coming editorial shoots in the S/S 2014 season.
- I like how they construct the dresses with 2 panels. It's quite refreshing, especially the drapery ones.
- The 90s silhouette seems to be the trend in this S/S 2014 season.
- It looks like stylish bra tops will be a hit next season.
Cons:
- I remember back in the days, the Mulleavy sisters loved to create romantic pieces. Right now, I feel like this vibe is completely gone and I actually miss it.
Eye Candies:
- Scorpion dress
- Mesh zebra print shorts
- Final drape dress
- Fringe dress
