Trendology: kielo; S/S 2014 Collection

One of my favourite Japanese brands, kielo;, has finally released the S/S 2014 collection, and as usual, the pieces are great!

For this season, Yuta Yajima and Erika Mizuno have Tamara de Lempicka (an art deco painter in the 1920's) as their inspiration and the collection is based on her glorious moments in her life. Because kielo; has both menswear and womenswear, so the designers have created their own imaginary painting couple.

Just like the previous seasons, there are a lot of prints involved and the flowers, fruits, and animals patterns are in a state of dying and decaying. The silhouettes are still a bit exaggerated, which helps to create the fairytale vibe. If you look at the photos, you may also notice some of the pieces are inspired by pyjamas and I honestly think this is pretty much the trend for the next few seasons.

Overall, this is just another amazing collection and as a fan, I am looking forward to see what the designers will create next. Also, can I request some slim fit pieces in the future (just so I can wear them)?
