Walk the Walk: Valentino F/W 2015 Menswear Collection

Pierpaolo Piccioli & Maria Grazia Chiuri presented the Valentino F/W 2015 menswear collection yesterday in Paris, and it was another home run!

This collection is inspired by a few things: 60s, cubism, futurism, works by Australian artist Esther Stewart and the costumes from Ballets Russes. The silhouette this season is more fitted than the S/S 2015, and the main focus is on the long coat. The creative directors collaborated with Esther Steward to create the interesting geometric patterns, and the colour combinations are so suitable for fall and winter. The pocket design is a refreshing element that really spices up a lot of the pieces. As usual, the designers always treat the menswear collection as a haute couture collection, so from the design of a silhouette to all the details on the clothes, everything is done flawlessly.

After looking at the show, there is one thing for certain - Valentino has a new signature element, and that is the camobutterfly. We all need more butterflies in our lives!

Pros:
- I love the long coats in this collection.
- The pocket design has really spiced up many pieces. It's an artistic design.
- The silhouette is slimmer than the S/S 2015 season, which really suits my style.
- Love the Esther Stewart inspired geometric designs, and also the colour combinations.
- The camobutterfly is back, and this time it is in muted tone. I believe this will attract more customers who are willing to wear something edgy, but not too loud at the same time.
- I do have a thing for Valentino's denim, and this season the long coat has all my attentions!

Cons:
- I would love to see more pieces with the galaxy print! That print is so good!

Eye Candies:
- The denim long coat
- The camobutterflies suit
- Galaxy print bomber
- Tribal print cropped jacket
- Green textile suit
- Geometric pattern long coat in 3 shades of grey
- The blue & burgundy shearling coat
- Red checked suit
