Walk the Walk: Mary Katrantzou F/W 2015 Collection

Mary Katrantzou has nailed it again! This is such a wonderful collection!

Digital print is no longer the main element of this fashion brand. Instead, the designer is all about textures and how to create 3D embellishments with unusual materials. In this collection, a lot of plastic materials are used on the garments, and they look very playful, chic and classy. I also find the outwear to be very strong here, especially the paisley print duffle coats. Of course, how can you not love the foam clutches and the foam runway? That element adds an adorable touch to the show and the collection!

So what do you think of this collection? Do you like Mary's new direction?

Pros:
- I love how Mary is playing with textures this season. She makes the use of plastic classy and edgy.
- The prints remind me of wallpaper, and some of them have the plastic treatment.
- I am in love with outerwear in this collection, especially the duffle coats.
- Can we talk about that pink foam runway? Absolutely adorable!

Cons:
- Compare to the clothes, the shoes are not as crazy as I thought. I would have imagined some of them being embellished by crystals.

Eye Candies:
- Fur coat with paisley pattern and red rectangular plastic embellishments
- Foam clutch
- Dress with plastic ruffles
- Lace long skirt
- Plastic paisley pattern duffle coat
- Dress with plastic fringes and crystal embalmments at the skirt area.
