Walk the Walk: Junya Watanabe F/W 2015 Collection

Every season, Junya Watanabe surprises me with his collection during Paris Fashion Week. This time, the collection is all about 3D shapes and honeycombs.

Junya's collection is always very experimental. Sometimes, the clothes are not wearable, but other times the designer finds the right balance to create something wearable and artistic. This is one of them. Unlike the last season, the designer has decided to go back to the 3D shape with more structured silhouettes.

The design team adds the honeycomb design onto some ordinary silhouettes, which makes the collection refreshing. The transition from the normal fabric to the geometric fabric is smooth and feels so effortless. Some of the outstanding pieces include the honeycomb poncho, the fuchsia honeycomb dress, and the motorbike honeycomb sleeves jacket. Of course, how can we not love the 3D headgears?

Congrats to Junya on another wonderful collection, and I cannot wait to see what's in store for S/S 2016!
