Walk the Walk: Thom Browne S/S 2016 Collection

The oriental favour has invaded the S/S 2016 Menswear Paris Fashion Week, and the latest brand is Thom Browne.

For this season, Browne takes inspiration from the Japanese artworks and use the suit as the canvas. I love the patchworks as they resemble the elements (house, samurai, tree) of the traditional Japanese paintings. Grey and black still dominate the collection, and the jackets are much longer than the signature silhouette. The men's kimono is a good surprise at the end of the runway show as it is inspired by the signature jacket.

Once again, Thom Browne created a collection that has a good balance of wearable and non-wearable pieces. I am very excited to see if this Asian flavour will apply on his womenswear collection in September.

Pros:
- Love how Thom uses the suits as the canvases to create Japanese classic artworks on them.
- The length of the suit is longer this season to give a refreshing take on his signature silhouette.
- Love the kimonos, they will be good for editorials!

Eye Candies:
- All the suits with Japanese inspired artwork patches
- The Kimono
