Walk the Walk: Andrew Coimbra S/S 2016 Collection

A lot of designers have lost my interest after their 3rd collection, but this is not the case for Andrew Coimbra. In fact, he makes me want to see more of his future creations!

For the S/S 2016 season, he collaborated with photographer Mckenzie James and portrait artist Luis Valencia to create an unisex collection. Unlike his previous collections, his goal for this one is to blur the importance of gender boundaries so both sexes can wear his clothes. I personally love the artistic approach of those portraits as Luis really added a nice touch on Mckenzie's photos. Also, the use of materials (cotton, lambskin leather,), colour palette (pink, lavender, airy blue) and silhouettes are all on point for the S/S 2016 menswear trend!

Creating 3 collections is not an easy ask, and I can tell you that Andrew Coimbra is definitely the one to watch in this fashion industry. I am looking forward to order the shirt from look no. 6!
