Walk the Walk: Givenchy S/S 2016 Collection

Riccardo's American Dream has finally come true. Yesterday, he presented the Givenchy S/S 2016 collection in New York City.

This year marks Riccardo's 10th year working at Givenchy so this collection is a mini retrospective to his career. There are a lot of familiar silhouettes and even a few couture gowns. In recent shows, the designer has created crazy makeup looks with Pat McGrath and a few looks have reappeared in this runway show. The only thing that is missing is his prints, as that element has become the DNA of the fashion house.

After looking at this collection, it is amazing to see how much Riccardo has archived in the past 10 years. I am looking forward to see his continuous success in the next era. Congratulations!

Pros:
- The collection is still strongly influenced by the gothic culture, and the lace and satin combination is perfect!
- Love the white, cream and white colour palette. It's very clean and shows the timeless vibe of the collection.
- Many of the gowns remind me of the Haute Couture collections. The details are impeccable.

Eye Candies:
- All the Haute Couture inspired gowns
- The shoes
- Lace tops
