#stmSnippet: Top Looks From TFI New Labels 2015

Canada’s premier fashion design competition was born in 1992. Each year up and coming fashion designers from around the country enter TFI New Labels, presented by the Toronto Fashion Incubator, in hopes of making it to the runway showdown in front of an audience packed with Toronto’s most influential fashionistas and fashionistos. This year Suzanne Rogers again put up the grand prize of $25,000, while Flare awarded a coveted full-page feature in the magazine.
Four designers presented their collections on May 4th at historic One King West. The evening was filled with cocktails, flashbulbs and 12 looks from each of the four designers’ labels including Jennifer Torosian, Maison Matthew Gallagher, Benji WZW and Vaiken. Dots[Connection]: Female Warriors

It's time for your weekly Draw A Dot. recap!

It's been awhile since I featured Roberto's works on Draw A Dot. and his latest pieces have blown me away in a good way. The following piece is inspired by the Givenchy F/W 2014 collection and I really like the raw and futuristic vibe of it. [Read Here]

Aside from being a fashion designer, Matthew Gallagher is also a great fashion illustrator who can produce stunning high quality illustrations. Below is a piece he created based on his latest F/W collection. I think the piece is stunning and also proves Matthew is a multi-talented artist. [Read Here]

Dots[Connection]: The Surface of Toronto Fashion Week Part 3

Yesterday 2 illustrators went to 3 shows to do some live runway sketches. The menswear illustrations by Ben Liu are very addictive and Benjamin Edward's style always makes me think the illustration is actually moving.

Please visit Draw A Dot. to see more from this project!
