[Un]Discovers: Daniel Robb

This is the 5th day of our special feature of the photographers whom will be in the show on March 12-18 and today we have Daniel Robb.  Below is a brief description of him and also, let's see what kind of answers he has for us!

"Daniel Robb is an emerging fashion photographer in Toronto with a penchant for writing in the 3rd person. His work has been shown in a number of publications including Luxsure and Eye Weekly. He has given strong consideration to taking a creative writing course to improve his bio writing ability. He is from the country but has come to embrace the city; this includes embracing the pavement after getting his bicycle tire caught in a streetcar track on more than one occasion. Daniel takes at least one picture every day."

Hey Daniel, please let us know who are your inspirations.
I'm inspired by all sorts of things that occur off the printed plane on a daily basis, but if it has to be other photographers, some of my inspirations are Yu Tsai, Geoff Barrenger, Rony Shram, and Honer Akrawi. These are artists whose work I emulate often. I also love the cinema director Martin de Thurah.

Can you tell us what is your ultimate goal for you photographer career?
My ambitions are modest. I am not a materialistic person - all I want is to be happy at work. Photography is the only thing that will give me that.

Well if you can pick any celebrities or models in the world to do a shoot, who will you pick ad what kind of shoot do you want to do?
Swimwear with Alessandra Ambrosio on an exotic beach, hah! Actually I would probably do something in the Irish countryside with derelict castles. Perhaps with Anja Rubik or Anna Selezneva.

Thank you Daniel for taking his time to answer the questions and we are thrilled to have all 5 talented photographers to be featured on this blog. We are hoping you will be coming on March 12 to meet these talented photographers! Again, the address for Sleeping Giant Gallery is 789 Dundas Street West and the opening hours for that night is 8pm -12pm. See you there!
