Trendology: The APC Derby

Today, we are very honored to have our first guest post on this site. Jonathan Elias from Shop My Clothes has written an entry for us! Since Jon is very good at defining menswear style, so in this entry, he has decided to talk about APC Derby. We hope you will enjoy what you read here!

Over the past couple of months I have become obsessed with the red brick sole derby. I’ve encountered blue suede, black leather, red leather, you name it…what keeps bringing me back? That damn red sole.

More often than not we look for shoes that have a little bit of an edge. It gives the shoe an identity and allows you to stand apart from everyone else. Does it have to be significantly different? No. Be it a contrast sole or another eyelet, either can give that shoe a look that would otherwise not be found on every other available shoe. This season APC has done it perfectly. Offering the red brick sole derby in two completely contrasting colours, black and red, they also threw in a higher cut to give it that rougher look and voila. You’ve changed what was once a classic look into something that can be worn to work or out casually.

It’s not whether or not you buy this shoe…its which colour to get…
