Trendology: Alexander McQueen F/W 2010 Look Book

Sarah Burton, I salute you!

With the permanent absence of Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton and the McQueen team have digested the Angels and Demons runway show and using Lee McQueen's inspiration to recreate this ready to wear collection.

As many of you may have observed, the Greco-Roman era's jacquard pattern is the main element in this collection. Knitwear and knee length silk dresses are the two main designs I see throughout this collection and every piece in this collection is like a piece of great painting. The two angel gowns give me the pure and innocent feeling, but also with the gothic edge. Of course, the detailing on the shoes is making this shoes collection iconic and I know a lot of people will go crazy for them. I cannot pick my favorite piece in this collection since most of them are just so elegant and classy and whoever is wearing one of these pieces will instantly become a live walking painting.

This collection does live up to Alexander McQueen's name and I hope Sarah Burton will continue the McQueen's legacy and create more amazing pieces in the future. Best of luck and may Lee finally find his happiness in another world.
