This is the first collection after Sarah Burton is appointed to be the creative director for Alexander McQueen and I have to say, this is one great collection. Even though the shapes and cutting may be similar to McQueen's previous seasons, one thing is very different: there is a softer side for the McQueen girls. The clothes are still romantic but the feeling is not as dark as before. The use of feathers, leather leaves pattern, and big hip dresses are some elements we have never seen before in a McQueen collection.
Overall, I think this is very good collection for Sarah Burton's first collection and I can't wait to see what she has in store for the F/W season. Long live McQueen!
