Trendology: John Galliano RTW Spring 2011

There are a few naughty boys in the fashion industry, they're rebellious and often very dark.  John Galliano is definitely one of them.  Inspired from Maria Lani, who asked top artists to paint her portrait as if it's for horror movie, Galliano put this portrait images of Lani together with his fashion. There are lots of sheer and ruffles, embroidered pedals and feather trimmed silk; all colours are very vivid and they echo with the gold mirror runway, together they really flashed into your eyes.  The other thing that worth a mention are the props.  I always thought too much props would take attention away from the fashion, yet Galliano managed to pull off a fabulous show as the props helped conveying the image of Lani.
