Walk the Walk: Louis Vuitton F/W 2011 Menswear Collection

The gentlemen in the Louis Vuitton F/W fashion are all chic and modern. The collection is a blend of Amish design elements with Lynchian overtones. Because Paul Helbers and Marc Jacobs want to emphasize on the shape and technique of the fashion pieces, you see a lot of black silhouette throughout the whole runway show. Of course, the Motel Red color is really brighten up the whole collection and the accessories are also something that have caught my eyes. The mixed material jackets do have a futuristic vibe and I think the whole collection is very practical and easy to wear.

Pros:
- The shoes collection is very attractive.
- Damier Infini is introduced (the white bags).
- Love the hooks on some jackets.
- The multi fabrics coats and jackets are great.
- small satchels adorned with trunk locks (which is around the waist) is one of the hottest accessories in this season.
- Love the Tangerine color.
- Checkered and stripes patterns work well in this collection.
- The "3D glasses" are great!

Cons:
- I think the belt on jacket style is very dated.
- Would love to see a few more colorful pieces.

Eye Candies:
- Cotton/suede jacket
- Leather/nylon quilted sport jacket
- Tangerine side zipper jacket
- Fur coat
- Muted pattern velvet jacket

  1. Why oh why do the men's collections have so much BLACK? With the exception of the ketchup red of course. The model choices here are fabulous: just straight-up handsome. I love a man in a scarf. No-nonsense mascuine vibe here is appealing
