Walk the Walk: Alexander McQueen F/W 2011 Collection

This is Sarah Burton's second season as a creative director and since she has created a nice collection for the S/S season, the expectation has raised. Fortunately, Sarah does not disappoint us by blending the Roman empire, Renaissance art style and leather fetish into one cohesive collection. Fur is used in this collection as an embellishment on many of the pieces to make them more elegant. It also helps to give a soft feminine side to the entire collection. Overall, this is a very nice collection and I would love to see her art direction for the next S/S season.

Pros:
- Love the fur embellishment on the pieces
- The Roman empire warrior boots are very interesting.
- Love the black, white and lavender colors palette.
- The fusion of Roman empire, Renaissance stained glass and leather fetish concept is neat concept
- The Renaissance painting tops are nice, as if the models are wearing a canvas on the runway.

Cons:
- A few looks remind me of Chanel.
- Even though the collection is good, I could not define which one is the ONE statement piece.

Eye Candies:
- Lavender gown with metal embellishment
- Black leather top with leather suspenders
- The Renaissance stained glass tops
- The boots
