Kallvis Gents sent out 10 looks to the runway on Friday night and his collection consisted of both men and womenswear. The collection had a very distinct touch that I did not see from other collections during FAT and that was the religious element. This element blended so well with the futuristic look of the garments. Even though I may not be able to wear some of the pieces, I was highly amazed by his creativity!
I do see potential in Kallvis and I truly believe if he continues to polish his skills and designs, it is just a matter of time before he claims a position in the Toronto fashion industry. Time will tell.
Pros:
- I love the religious touch on the collection, this gives an edge to the clothing and that may become this brand's DNA.
- The womenswear also has a touch of futuristic vibe and this makes the ladies look very sexy and edgy.
- I actually like the color palette as it gives a solid feeling to the collection.
Cons:
- The menswear may not work for people who have small frames since I believe only tall men can carry the looks flawlessly.
Eye Candies:
- The big collar trench coat
- Grey suit with hollow cut at the sides
- The men's oversize meshed shirt
