Walk the Walk: Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2012 Menswear Collection

Net. Yes, Net is the key of this collection.

The S/S 2012 Dolce & Gabbana collection is built from one simple concept, the net. This concept is then transformed into different colors, sizes, materials on the garments. As for the color palette, the duo uses grey, burgundy, bottle green, coffee brown, white and black to give the volume illusion to the collection. I really enjoy this collection as the net has given an edge to the Dolce & Gabbana default silhouettes. Also, because of the "rough finishing" to some of the pieces, the men look very bold and raw on the runway.

Seriously, when looking at this runway show, all I can think of is this: Dolce & Gabbana have created an army of modern fishermen and they look very stylish! Bravo!

Pros:
- The net design is the IT factor in this collection.
- The silk/wool mohair tailored suits are always well constructed.
- The color palette is good. I love the burgundy and bottle green.
- The shoes and the sunglasses are great, they are on my wish list already.

Cons:
- While I am impressed with the colors, I would not mind to have 1 extra bright color added to this collection.

Eye Candies:
- The Net suits
- The Net military blazer (!!)
- The Net shoes
- The silk/wool mohair suits
