Walk the Walk: Alexander McQueen S/S 2012 Collection

This is the continuation of the Alexander McQueen F/W 2011 collection and I am very impressed with it.

This collection is still very dark even though there are a lot of colours in it. Many piece still have a very strong BDSM feeling to it but also, there are actually some whimsical pieces which make you think of the flower blossom season. I am very impressed with the peplum pieces and also the last few metallic gowns are very inspiring. Now if the last few pieces are the cliff hangers, does that mean Sarah will be designing a futuristic collection for next season? Only time will tell.

Pros:
- I like the colour palette. It's bold but still have a very dark vibe.
- The collection in general is very soft, yet bold at the same time.
- I really like the peplum element on many of the pieces.
- The metallic pieces at the end of the show are just breathtaking!
- The lace headpiece will be a hit for editorials next season.

Cons:
- I really hope Sarah Burton can reintroduce the theatrical vibe to the runway show. I always think Alexander McQueen show is an experience, not just a fashion show.

Eye Candies:
- Beige suit with gold paint accent.
- Blood orange floor length tie dye gown
- Metallic gowns
