Graphicology: Musical Chairs

This animated short film requires you to think and at the same time, I see fashion element in it.

The characters are designed by Doralice To and each of them has a different pattern on the body (my mind keeps thinking about the Fair Isle pattern, which obviously can tie in with fashion). To's illustration style is towards minimalism as you can see the characters are made out of simple geometric shapes. My favourite character is the elk and bird.

The story is simple. It's about the musical chairs game. The question that will make you wonder in this film is: what will human do to make sure he can get a spot? Is being on top of the food chain the ultimate goal for the human?

I definitely recommend you to take a look at the animated short film directed by Du Yukai and Tang Ya.
