Sarah Burton presented the Alexander McQueen S/S 2013 collection and she once again gave a breath of fresh air to the fashion industry. This season is about the fusion of 2 cultures: bee and Spanish fashion. The beehive laser cut pieces are very spot on and this idea is very unique. Then at the end of the runway show, there were some very pretty Spanish dress inspired pieces which I am sure Anna Dello Russo will be wearing 1-2 pieces for next fashion weeks.
As for the accessories, I am completely in love with the "tortoiseshell" cuffs. They look like sticky honey to me and work very well with the collection. Also, the heel-less shoes have been modified to make them more modern and futuristic. Of course, how can you not like the beehive fedora?
Sarah Burton once again proves she is capable to continue the legacy of this brand. Even though this is the most wearable runway collection she has created to date, this does not mean she didn't add the wow factors to the garments. To me, this brand is truly my pot of fashion honey and I am already excited for the F/W 2013 season.
