Walk the Walk: Dior Homme F/W 2013 Collection

Dior Homme F/W 2013 is everything I want to be in my wardrobe. If I could have the time travel ability, I would have asked my old self to save up all the money for this collection.

I always have a theory that Kris Van Assche is creating a "landsea  air" trilogy for Dior Homme and after seeing the F/W 2013 collection, I believe I am correct.

This collection is about the future, or as I interpret in my own way, the space age. A lot of pieces remind me of the spaceship uniforms, especially with the abstract symbol (that could be a cool Dior Homme symbol in the future). I really love the structured silhouette of this collection as it makes every man looks sleek and tall. The belt buckle detail is what really enhances the collection by giving it a futuristic vibe. As a lover of accessories and shoes, I just cannot take my eyes off all the things that are shown on the runway (who can resist the blue sole?).

Kris Van Assche clearly ends this trilogy with a big bang and now we know that black, white and blue do not necessary translate as boring, because this optimistic collection is full of spirit and energy.

Pros:
- I love the structured silhouette of this collection. It makes everyone looks sleek.
- Even though the colour palette does not involve and bright colours (expect the hint of red), this does not mean the collection is boring. In fact, it is full of spirit and energy.
- The buckle detail is what sets this collection aparts from others. Such a nice futuristic touch.
- The shoes and accessories are amazing in this collection.
- The abstract symbol is something everyone will be talking next season. It looks like a logo of the spaceship to me, but I know other people may have a different interpretation.

Cons:
- It will be very cool if the abstract symbol can be used on ties and bags. (I think combining the Dior Homme bee icon and this abstract symbol together will be cool)

Eye Candies:
- Everything.
